The story of this poster
A beautiful and really stylish travel poster in Art Deco style, published 1935 to promote Germany and it's (during this time) leading transport and travel range.
The picture shows the famous airship Hindenburg, a Lufthansa JU-52 aircraft and a ship from HAPAG's fleet, all on a silhouette of the famous destinations that the German travel companies had direct connections to; New York with the Manhattan skyline, Rio de Janeiro's Sugar Loaf and the Christ statue of the Cristo Redentor. In the foreground prominent features pf berlin can be seen such as the famous Brandenburger Gate.
The artist behind the poster, Jupp Wiertz, was together with Ottomar Anton one of Germany's best artists in the field of advertising arts and posters.
Please NOTE! If desired, we can edit out the swastikas on the airship (see the 3rd picture). In that case, please write it in the order. No additional fees are added for this service.
