Product Description:
Swedish Volunteer Corps 3-posters package

The Swedish Volunteer Corps organized Swedes to fight as volunteers in Finland, against the invading Soviets. In total, 12 705 people registered as volunteers, of which 8 260 were adopted. The corps got into combat on a number of places, but the war ended before all the volunteers were in place.

The arrival of the Volunteer Corps meant that the Finns could release five combat experienced Finnish battalions, which could be deployed in the fighting on the Karelian Isthmus. Here, the situation was very serious and every day to continue the fight affected the peace negotiations, which was in full swing.

More important than the military effort would however have been the moral significance of voluntary activity. The volunteers showed that Finland did not stand alone against the Soviet Union.

We at WorldWarEra are very proud to offer this package of posters that you can only find here! The originals are made from 1939 to 1940. The package contains the 3 posters on the picture!

These posters is a reproduction of a carefully restored original and therefore of superb quality, printed on the best paper the market can offer.
